CRITERIA:
• Excellence in the classroom, including knowledge and
presentation of subject matter
• Ability to inspire and motivate students in the classroom
• Motivation of students to achieve outside the classroom
• Service to the college
• Service to the community
HISTORY: In appreciation of an award given to him while a student at SC4, the late Del James Blessinger, in establishing an endowment for the College, made provision for a portion of the earnings to be set aside
each year to be awarded to a full-time and/or adjunct teaching faculty member in recognition of teaching excellence.
